Hurricane Sandy: After Landfall (October 30, 2012)

BRUTAL STORM OF MY LIFETIME! SOURCE: The Atlantic

Last night, Hurricane Sandy — the largest Atlantic tropical system on record — made landfall just south of Atlantic City, New Jersey, bringing winds up to 90 mph (150 kph), and pushing a massive storm surge onto beaches and shorelines. At least 12 deaths have been reported in the United States. These fatalities, when added to the previous toll in the Caribbean, leave Sandy responsible for more taking more than 80 lives to date.

Millions across the Eastern Seaboard are now without power, and even more are struggling with rising floodwater. Sandy continues northward, now downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone, and those affected are now assessing the damage. Collected here are images of Sandy’s aftermath, many from New York City, which suffered widespread blackouts and a record-setting high tide early this morning. 1000 KM Service – No Big Deal

Bike is all good at its 1000KM service.  EXCEPT….I screwed up the clutch cable after Cheryl installed the risers.  WE made sure we had enough slack in the cable but I guess we forgot that you must have enough bend in the cable too.  I did not adjust my lever enough by tilting it downwards.  Hence, the cable would bend when turning. I was not aware I was doing damage because that little rubber thingy that covers the cable hid the damage I was doing.

Some are DISAPPOINTED in US!

Quick post because since we are so public with our motorcycle lives, trips and oh just about everything…I feel the need to make one post about WHY we bought BMW’s versus Triumph’s.  This will be my only post as I really do not feel the need to overly justify how we spend our money.  But since receiving quite a few emails, messages etc saying our credibility is in question about how I express my opinions and reviews I feel the need.
