Pivot Pegz are high performance foot pegs incorporating a unique and precisely tuned, spring loaded pivoting action that allows the foot peg to pivot forward and backward and move with the natural motion of the rider’s feet. A computer designed spring holds the peg in its central (neutral) position and provides optimized resistance and shock absorpsion during the pivoting action. When forward or aft pressure is applied, the peg pivots in a smooth and predictable manner. When pressure is released the peg instantly returns to its central position. The spring loaded action of Pivot Pegz also provides valuable force feedback to the rider and assists in returning their feet to the central position. Continue reading

Evolution of a Custom Seat to be con’t…..

Janice from Slim Signature Seats in Vancouver, BC is trying to create a customized seat for my BMW F800GS.  I am excited to see what she can do to make this new 2013 BMW a more comfy street ride.  So far we are impressed with the ESA option which allows the rider to choose between a firmer or softer suspension.  This has proven to be a great addition to this class of bike.  I am liking the ESA so much that I can honestly say in comfortable mode the BMW compares to the Triumph Tiger 800.  Now, let’s hope the seat completes the over all feel.  Stay tuned!

Combination of Wild life and BMW F800

All in Spanish but I sure got this idea behind this incredible relationship!

Al loro Beto le encanta salir a pasear en moto con su amigo Juan José

Vaya donde vaya, vuela a la par, mientras va conversando.

Anyone can translate? ;-) Thanks to a YouTube Channel follower for this video!

2012 BMW GS SAFARI

A bit of an advertisement for the 1200GS but watch the entire video and it will show you why we all should ride ADV bikes…LOVE the one grrl in this video and she tells the truth…we need more grrls riding on these bikes!

170 riders on a 5-day adventure through NSW, the 2012 BMW GS Safari was a great success. See the BMW R 1200 GS in action along with other models from the legendary GS range.

Simple One Down One to Go

Just like that…we are going to be owners of two 2013 BMW F800GS bikes…in a blink of an eye…Why Beemers and not the Triumph Tiger 800XC?  Hmmmm…we have accessories than can transfer from our 650′s to the 800′s.  3 year warranty and to be honest while we LOVED the Tigers, the BMW’s feel more like us right now.  Maybe we made the wrong decision?  Dunno…I mean our dealer sells Triumph’s too.

‘Adventure Riding’

There has been a lot of talk recently about what the term ‘Adventure Riding’ really means. Is it blasting down a gravel highway on a fully loaded 1200cc motorcycle? Doing single track on a light enduro style motorcycle with nothing but a backpack? Or is it riding two-up with everything you own, ready to take on the next continent? We feel adventure riding is a way to exercise your creativity. It can be whatever you want it to be. So don’t let anyone tell you differently.

Would we have taken our BMW’s to Alaska!???

Of course we would have taken these BIKES up North! Wouldn't you? ;-) CLICK ME and MAKE ME BIGGER!

Just a quick post after receiving many private messages and emails asking if we would have taken our 2010 BMW F650GS bikes on the same trip we did on the Triumph Tiger 800′s last summer.  Our answer is YES…totally.  Our Beemers would have easily made the trip through BC, the Yukon and Alaska.  We would have never have thought twice about riding up there with our own bikes.  I was asked then ‘why didn’t you ride your own bikes?”  Hmmmmmmmmmmm…..the answer is simple…Triumph gave us two new adventure bikes to ride on a very long demo…why would we NOT ride Triumph’s bikes, put the mileage on them and get to test ride another model?  Not sure why I was asked that question but if any other company came to us and said “hey, you want to take our bikes for a ride?”  I would answer yes yet again.

The Triumph Tiger 800XC with the Triumph gel seat no doubt is more comfortable on the street and more comfortable in general riding long distances in the saddle.  Having said that anyone who might be looking to buy either the F650GS, F800GS or the Triumph 800….you will love any of these bikes and they will take you as far as your imagination can go….so enjoy ADV riding…it’s the best way to LIVE!

Best Adventure Motorcycle 2011: Triumph Tiger 800 XC

Do you agree??????????

By Motorcycle USA Staff

Friday, December 30, 2011

Triumph manufactured a lot of hype for the Tiger 800, so it was a real treat to discover the British mount lived up to expectations. Not just a shrunken version of its big brother Tiger, the 800 was a purpose-built Adventure bike. Triumph even obliged an off-road oriented version, the XC, which features wire-spoked wheels and is easily the most dirt-capable Trumpet produced by the modern Hinkley company.
