I was given permission to post this on our blog. Please read. This might be a post not many even comment on…sad but true. Too intense? Too political? I don’t know but hope it’s read.
It is very heart warming and humbling to know our blog about everything can influence a person like to this to share their horrific story and then thank us for publicly posting who we are….people are amazing and this is one reason I try to diversify our BLOG.
I have been reading your blog now for a while and have really enjoyed it. I just wanted to share with you how much it means to me and to thank you for the time you have put into it – sharing so much of your life. Also to Cheryl for her work with the It get’s better video. The honor guard sets the scene and mood….perfect touch…thanks to Cheryl’s Friends/colleagues for doing what they do best.
We gave each other 2 rings. One was the commitment band we exchanged back 15 years ago and we both now have a diamond band representing our marriage.
Surrounded by RCMP Mounties we ended up having a great wedding at the Westcoast Wilderness Lodge in Egmont BC.
More pics and posts to come. We are staying another night to relax. Guests are long gone and it’s just us. What a day to remember!
Family have arrived for our wedding. Mom and dad via RV from New York and sisters and families via plane
Way to go Cheryl and the RCMP at Vancouver’s gay pride parade this past weekend!
It won’t be long until Cheryl and I take the next step after living Common Law for 16 years into the world of Legal MARRIAGE. After all the fuss being made over in Russia about the anti gay movement I thought it would be a perfect post in honor of our right to be with whomever we want in Canada.
Today was Vancouver annual Pride Parade and Cheryl and her colleagues represented the RCMP
and marched along with all those colorful human beings expressing their right to Love anyone they want. Isn’t that what it’s all about????
My colleagues had this special cake made for Cheryl’s and my pre wedding shower yesterday, July 20.
It was a perfect get together of RCMP and BCT colleagues and friends. Thank you guys and only about 3 weeks to go until the wedding!
More about Cheryl’s outstanding contribution to the RCMP if she lets me! ;-)
‘We’re not all that different from each other’
While our post on puppies is getting 1000.s of HITS I hope you take a look at this too. All part of our Adventures in our life and this means a lot to us! Thanks! Cheryl & Leslie
Cheryl was behind making this video and she is in it as well….PLEASE share this video….it was made because Cheryl works with kids as a RCMP and is tired of seeing the bullying and suicides that happen over sexuality. This blog is followed by so many from all over the world….pass it on and help us get the word out…
“It Does get Better!” Thanks!
