My X Country SOLO Trip Slide Show

It’s long but made for me to share with you.  Music included were the tunes I listened to a lot throughout my journey.  Some may sound depressive some may not.  All have meaning to me and I can actually visualize the sights, sounds, smells and weather of course throughout my trip based on songs.  It’s a cool way to correlate all the many places I was fortunate to explore from May 17th – June 15th 2014.  At the end of course is my tribute to me Beagle, Cruizer….I hope some will watch and get a flavor of what it is like to travel 14,107 KM’s.  Leslie

Day 6 & 7 – Gratitude and A bit of a Set Back

Day 6 – 742.2 KM’s. Day 7 – 560 KM’s.

Yesterday seems to be a blur to be honest. Even today because I am thinking too much. I supposed every ride report has a theme and this one seems to be amnesia. Continue reading

What You Believe About Homosexuality Doesn’t Matter

great blog entry…thanks

The first news story is the indefinite suspension of Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson due to the comments he made during an interview with GQ magazine. The second news story is about the “defrocking” of Pennsylvania UMC pastor Frank Schaefer after he performed the marriage for his gay son and subsequent refusal to submit to church law regarding this action. The link between these two stories is clear. The church’s views (or, in the case of Duck Dynasty, a certain understanding of the Christian faith’s views) regarding homosexuality.

The reaction to both of these stories has been…emphatic, to say the least. The debate over the “rightness or wrongness” of homosexuality has once again…

Why do we BLOG???

I was given permission to post this on our blog.  Please read. This might be a post not many even comment on…sad but true.  Too intense?  Too political?  I don’t know but hope it’s read.

It is very heart warming and humbling to know our blog about everything can influence a person like to this to share their horrific story and then thank us for publicly posting who we are….people are amazing and this is one reason I try to diversify our BLOG.

“Hi Leslie

I have been reading your blog now for a while and have really enjoyed it.  I just wanted to share with you how much it means to me and to thank you for the time you have put into it – sharing so much of your life. Also to Cheryl for her work with the It get’s better video. I had seen the video first and then somehow stumbled upon your blog.  It has meant the world to me to see your lives together as normal and healthy – something to be celebrated and lived. In the video I had never heard women speak of their lives and sexuality in such a positive way and it captivated me. Growing up – gay only meant men and it was directly connected with rejection, Continue reading

Our Day

Surrounded by RCMP Mounties we ended up having a great wedding at the Westcoast Wilderness Lodge in Egmont BC.

More pics and posts to come. We are staying another night to relax. Guests are long gone and it’s just us. What a day to remember!

Wedding Check List

It won’t be long until Cheryl and I take the next step after living Common Law for 16 years into the world of Legal MARRIAGE.  After all the fuss being made over in Russia about the anti gay movement I thought it would be a perfect post in honor of our right to be with whomever we want in Canada.

Today was Vancouver annual Pride Parade and Cheryl and her colleagues represented the RCMP

and marched along with all those colorful human beings expressing their right to Love anyone they want.  Isn’t that what it’s all about????

My colleagues had this special cake made for Cheryl’s and my pre wedding shower yesterday, July 20.

It was a perfect get together of RCMP and BCT colleagues and friends. Thank you guys and only about 3 weeks to go until the wedding!
