Just love how the guy who does the review for the Stelvio refers to it being a man’s bike and for guys….I say HA…grrls ride too…The Italians should let a grrl review this bike too…. 😉 Other than that he makes this bike workable as a heavy DS ADV sort of bike. Like the Racer too.
Avid ADV rider! This Blog is all about the adventure in adventure riding. Researching new bikes, routes, accessories, learning about other riders and hopefully a great place for others to comment and explore with me. PLUS, up and down's, wildlife, my dogs, my life!

Social foo-pahs aside – I love the look of the Stelvio and would like a test ride. Can anyone comment on the motor – is it silky smooth or is it a paint can shaker?
The Stelvio is strangely appealing to me, love how it has its own slightly retro personality and doesn’t try to look like yet another BMW R1200GS copy. Incidentally, this bike is featured in the new Hairy Bikers food series Everyday Gourmet.
Maybe I’m just a lazy bastard but I wouldn’t have been standing on that road either, only for the really bad stuff! But I wouldn’t have been dragging my feet either! 😉
Oh I know I deserve the wagging finger of good sense, but I should have plenty of standing up time this summer in the Alps – I’m still plotting the route, guided in part by mimoto’s crazy adventures 🙂
Not sure putting a foot down around corners strewn with such large rocks is such a good idea.
or sitting down

I was once told way in the beginning of my DS riding…stand UP and momentum is your friends on any off road terrain. Just saying. 😉
