I have not gotten around to even posting our highlights from our wedding. Perhaps a little overwhelmed with all the pics and the event itself. Wedding was great and a post will come soon. Right now we are on a mini-moon, not our honeymoon bike trip. We are out and about in our own “backyard” of BC exploring. Heading up the Hurley Forest road to check out the Tyax Wilderness Lodge in the middle of nowhere.

Yesterday, August 25th we headed up the famous Sea to Sky highway towards Pemberton, BC. The Iron Man was going on and seriously felt for all those guys and gals on their bicycles willingly trudging along up the mountainous highway. Felt lazy being on the bikes but would rather been riding our Beemers than what they were doing. 😉
The road takes you as close to the water as you can get…

It’s a beautiful ride but at times the cagers get in the way of pure enjoyment.
As always I have to take pics on the fly as Cheryl does not like to stop for that Kodak moment
Weather was great up to Pemberton and we hope today is the same as we head up on a forest road we have never been on before
No roughing it on this little 3 night trip…the bikes and us will be staying at lodges.
Who knew Pemberton was known for GeoCaching? Cheryl’s favorite pastime….
Found one!
Simply walked around this little town, went by the farmers market, saw the Iron Man athletes riding through, saw many drinking bottles of booze out of brown bags, ate a nice dinner at The Woods and came back to our cute little room to chill.
Cheryl is always practicing her photography skills now that it’s part of her job…
Always have to add pics of the bikes especially when my Jesse luggage is on…nothing like hard luggage on a DS bike.
So hopefully today the rain stays away, we are really enjoying our beautiful dry summer. The Hurley depending on the grading etc has been known to be pretty easy or not. We will find out today and get some decent pics of the scenery for those who read this blog from different parts of the world to see.
Stay tuned for Mini-Moon part II
What is a Geocache?
It’s like a treasure hunt. You find items or the cache on the internet, get the GPS coordinates and locate them. There are caches all over the world. We just found 2 here at Tyax Lodge. One we had to canoe too
