Nature Iluminated by the Sun

Daylight is by far the best light source. It’s free, sustainable and can give a sense of energy and well being. Sunset is an exciting time to make pictures. A landscape looks more lively and lush when photographed at sunset. The soft light brings life to subtle details. The time of sunset is defined in astronomy as the moment when the trailing edge of the Sun’s disk disappears below the horizon in the west. There are few things in nature as photogenic as the sky at sunset, especially nature. The rich bright gold, pink and orange colors make unusually beautiful pictures of nature illuminated by the sun.

  1. Some of these photos are so beautiful they are emotionally moving… I love how many have employed HDR techniques and post processing without looking artificial. Some incredible talent both behind the lens and on the computer.
