Did KLIM do what many of ADV grrls in general wanted? Thanks Colleen for pointing me to REVZILLA (look to your right and click on the RevZilla widget to check this suit out) who has the new KLIM Altitude Gore Tex Suit for women on their website. Due out March 1st, 2014, KLIM said they would introduce a suit for females, similar to the Misano Latitude and I have to admit this sure looks like it. Will they add black as an option? I can’t wait to try this on for size literally. I bought my Traverse gear in 2010 and I am ready to have a suit that fits better. Retail price on par with the guys…$569.99 for the jacket and $489.99 for pants. Not cheap but it’s female KLIM gear!!!! 😉 Thoughts????

It is about time. Will be giving the jacket a look for sure. Need to find a retailer and actually try one on first.
They could have and should have had this out last year. It is the Latitude in female sizing…I wonder what the hold up was? The take over of Polaris? In any case I am very curious to try this on too
This looks nice, I’m always looking for some new gear with my hiking
When Bmw Motorrad, goes on sale you can get the new Streetguard (now with women line too), which is problably one of the best riding gear available, maybe in pair with some Rukka models
I never seem to catch those sales
Here, every year there’s a “equiq yourself” sale, that cuts prices fork 35-50% of some selected gear.
This year the best was a Atlantis 4 jacket for 600€ and StreetGuard 3 for aprox.400€
I just got off the phone w/the “gear geeks” at Revzilla, they said a black model should be out soon. They also said the sizing needs to be updated on the website because it only shows S-M-L-XL when these are sized 4-22. I’m hoping the knee armor is where it should be for my 29″ in-seemed wife after the 4″ is zipped off at the bottom of the leg. We shall see.
I am really hoping this fits like the Latitude…I can then wear a medium jacket and perhaps pants that will fit
I am looking at the Overland as a logical successor of my Traverse.
If I was a guy I would have the Overland right now
Looks quite nice – what are YOUR thoughts, Leslie? Don’t mind the colour, my gear is a slightly darker shade of grey primarily and it hides the dirt better than black I find…
I love what I see even like the orange accents
Light gray can get pretty dingy very fast with road grime…so, the color has great hanger-appeal and will wow the shopper, but once it hits the road, buyers remorse could become an issue once the new-gear sheen dulls a bit. I sold high-end ski gear and clothing for years, the lighter colors fly off the shelf but in conjunction with this, so do the complaints by customers who dropped nearly a 1000 into their outerwear. I have to give the new KLIM gear a B- due ti the color choice!
I own the grey Klim Traverse and I don’t find it to be that bad for showing dirt and grime but I think my next suit will be black despite the “visibility” the lighter colours tend to give. These shells are easy to care for my only issue because I’m lazy is taking out the armor. The most important thing I see from Klim is making a suit on par with the men’s version. Same D3O armour and cordura and of course the Gore. That’s all I have ever asked for same quality grrl sizing. Really look forward to trying this on for size.
Finally!!! Can’t wait to see it in real life!!
