Never did get surgery for these breaks and now my foot is about 3 degrees out of placement and although I did a ton of PT, hired a personal trainer I am left with a leg that does not perform as it did prior to the accident. I went hiking in the White Mountains a few weeks ago and it was at that time my leg weakened quickly to the point it felt like a peg leg.
The fall foliage in New Hampshire was amazing though and worth every limp. 😉
Over night the resort filled up a bit more and it was my lone bike among all cars.
Yesterday I had planned on exploring on the bike the surrounding area but after a beautiful sunrise…
…sea fog rolled in not only around the water but inland too. It was destined to stick around the entire day. So, after having a great yet a bit expensive breakfast at the Cedars restaurant I walked around looking at cottages for sale in the area and went to the beach. We have owned our new now old bikes for 1 year. I will soon post a review of our bikes now that we both have over 8000 KM’s on them, been off-road, taken decent length trips to assess its road competency and also here I will post an issue we have run into regarding the OEM canbus/socket plug.
In our review I will try to compare as much as I can the F800 to the Triumph Tiger 800XC that we rode for only 44 days to Alaska and they gave them back to Triumph Canada in 2011 and our 2010 BMW F650GS bikes too.
Sure hope I remember how to use our SPOT Connect… 😉 We will be heading out on a “honeymoon” short get away in a few hours. We always track our trips especially if we are heading off road. Here is the link to our usual SPOTWalla page. Once we get going you will start seeing our track. Feel free to check in on us if you want. Continue reading “Our Shorty Trip SPOT Link”
Today was a great day to ride to AltRider. Why? It was not raining, cool enough to turn on a little heat, traffic wasn’t too bad, the AltRider gang were extremely friendly and helpful and I got to test out the ESA on the “infamous” I-5 from the border to Seattle.
Not going to do a formal post but here is our second 2013 BMW F800GS to complete our garage. Pick up was yesterday, Oct. 13 2012 and while Cheryl’s bike was in for her first 1000KM service I got the pleasure of buying my bike this day in the pouring Vancouver rain.
