After leaving GO-AZ dealership the day before I went to another virtual hosts house for an over niter. Terry and Heather. What a nice couple. We had really good pizza, hung out with their pets, I have all ready forgotten their cat’s name but their dog? Jack. Terry and Heather take in rescues so they MUST be good people and they are. Thanks guys for the stay and Terry for input on my route for the day. Heather hope your make it to your next book club. 👍
I am usually much more efficient with updates as I put day 8 together on Day 11. This trip more than any other trip has not only been about a little bike issues but more importantly taking time to enjoy myself with detours and meeting so many virtual friends. This trip riding SOLO has been for some reason my most enjoyable trip. Go figure after I have been on about 130,000 KM’s of trips since 2010. June 2012 – Business & Pleasure (all pics are clickable for HiRez size)
June 15th – June 18th Leslie was taking a course about Hospital Development and Organ Donation. Cheryl flew down on the 15th for some R & R while I was in my course. Great course sponsored by NATCO and was useful to attend even though we do things much differently in Canada.
While we were away Cheryl’s cousin Taylor and boyfriend Dave took care of our “kids” and house…they have a little Chihuahua, Olive which made 4 dogs and an elderly cat for them to care for over a week. They always help out these “kids” and that also meant they were here for 44 days last summer while we were up north. We trust them immensely.
When we get home I will put together a post showing all that we did while down in Arizona once Leslie’s course was finished. First few days were business and then we had 4 days to explore. Goal was to see the Grand Canyon as much as we could. We drove, yes I mean drove our bikes are at home, over 1000 miles in 3 days. It was HOT but fun. ALL PICS ARE CLICKABLE for HiRES
Here are a few sample pics we took while driving in our a/c cage! 😉
From great architectural feats to breathtaking natural beauty, the world is full of fascinating places to see before you die. Thanks to films such as The Bucket List, starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, making life lists of things to do before you kick the bucket has become popular with those determined to embrace all the world has to offer while they are still alive. So if you want to enrich your life by visiting diverse and outrageously beautiful places, then here is a list of ten places to see before you die.
These are rough routes of some of our possible 2012 trips. Would be from middle of May to June. We would most likely go through Alberta more heading back from Flagstaff, Arizona. Please post any MUST ride DS roads anywhere along this route. We will maybe have 24 days. All depends as usual with work.
Both Cheryl and I are thinking a trip to Flagstaff, Arizona should be one of our trips next year. This Expo seems like a great opportunity to not only meet many very experienced ADV riders, but to take classes in DS riding, see new equipment, learn about making better videos, outdoor camping/cooking and a whole lot more. Due to the distance we would most likely have to take at least three weeks maybe more. Flagstaff is about a 5000 KM round trip from where we live.
We have not taken our bikes to the Southwest yet and this Expo makes it an easy decision to put these States on our map.
