2014 Fall DUAL SPORT BC Newbie Ride

2014 Annual Fall Dual Sport BC ride is a group ride for all size bikes and skill. There are three routes, A, B and C. C is the big bike adventure route. Great organization, great people and always a great ride.

Before I post about today’s ride I think I should catch up the BLOG about where I am at in my separation.  Again somethings should remain private but others can be shared since I have shared so much.  I guess you can say I am in the mourning phase of the loss of my relationship/marriage.  I will mention my ex’s name only once and then she will be referred to as my ex. 😉  Cheryl left on January 30th, 2014 and never looked back.  Since then I was fortunate to be able to buy her out of my house and keep it.

Just like that, some money and the swipe of a pen she was erased from ever owning my house.  We are completely separated and I would suppose the next step would be a divorce in 2015.  So, 2014 has been a struggle for me yet I seem to be able to continuously ride my bike.  It’s been a busy Fall fitting power rides, leisurely rides as well as the annual BC Dual Sport off-road ride too.

Beautiful BC and the Dual Sport BC Spring Newbie Ride


March 25th 2012

The morning started off heading out to Chilliwack at 0700.  About 1 degree Celsius but look at what I see all the way out to the staging area for the Annual Dual Sport BC Newbie Ride.  SUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It has been so wet and miserable here when I saw the sunrise it was meant to be a good day.  Cheryl did not come with me because she has not been sleeping well and I am glad she did not come.  This ride was not for sleepy riders.  There are a few short videos in this post…hope you watch them to get a flavor of the day and all pics are click-able!

Heading East through Mission, BC to get to Highway 1 for the fast way out to Chilliwack.  About an hour from where we live.

The Crash or Dump or Fall……


Not sure what to call this….I guess a crash 😉  More pics and video to come from today’s Newbie Dual Sport BC Spring Ride….it was awesome.  No damage to me, Leslie or the bike!

Spring Newbie / Social Ride March 25, 2012


Cheryl is sleeping in and I am heading out to the annual Spring ride sponsored by many local businesses and of course Dual Sport BC.  Here is what I can expect for the bigger ADV bikes and I will probably be the only grrl riding an ADV bike.  If there are any other grrls there they will most likely be on a dirt bike.  That is at least what I have seen in the past on these rides.  Too bad more grrls do not get out.  Hopefully if I don’t crash I can get some decent pics and video.  Wish me luck! 😉
