Surrounded by RCMP Mounties we ended up having a great wedding at the Westcoast Wilderness Lodge in Egmont BC.
More pics and posts to come. We are staying another night to relax. Guests are long gone and it’s just us. What a day to remember!

Wedding Check List
It won’t be long until Cheryl and I take the next step after living Common Law for 16 years into the world of Legal MARRIAGE. After all the fuss being made over in Russia about the anti gay movement I thought it would be a perfect post in honor of our right to be with whomever we want in Canada.
Today was Vancouver annual Pride Parade and Cheryl and her colleagues represented the RCMP
and marched along with all those colorful human beings expressing their right to Love anyone they want. Isn’t that what it’s all about????

Pre Wedding Shower
Had a great time with a bunch of colleagues that we also call friends at our home for our pre wedding shower. Traditionally the wedding couple do not host the shower but I insisted we have it here and all our friends brought the food and goodies to us. Beautiful day on our deck we built and finished, so all was good. Wedding date August 14th 2013….right around the corner.

A Modern Day Wedding Registry
When you have been together for 16 years and wedding guests ask what do you want? Hard to say anything to be honest but there is the feeling we had to register for something.
Modern Day Weddings for those who really have it “all” can turn to FLIGHT Centre…how cool is this…people search by the last name and poof, online wedding travel registry. Got this idea from a colleague of mine. In any case…at least we may have satisfied the more traditionally minded guests.
Thought we would share this with others just in case you are in the same boot as us. 😉 Less than 2 months until our “BIG” Adventure day! The WEDDING!

2 months, 3 Weeks & 4 Days
Not too much longer until the day we get hitched. I mean why not? We have only been together almost 16 years….;-) Here is our post from our scouting out the venue ride last year SUNSHINE COAST onward to the venue POST here and here is a video showing you WHY we picked the WESTCOAST WILDERNESS LODGE
We rode up on our 2010 BMW 650’s and this year we will be riding up on our ’13 BMW F8’s. And, YES of course we will have our pictures taken with our bikes. 😉 The sunshine coast of BC is not that far from the lower mainland, but once you get there you feel like you are in another world!
