Don’t be such a pessimist. It was a wise decision. Imagine all the negative publicity if the bikes broke down in the middle of the journey! Or am I being the pessimist here? 😉

IIRC, one of the three BMW’s was replaced by a Ural after welding the frame fried the electronics.
Just saying… 😉
