Cat and Dolphins playing together

Something to warm up your winter Blues!  A must see cute cat video….plus I LOVE Dolphins and it’s always good to deviate from motorcycle news! 😉

Cat and Dolphin playing together. Theater of the Sea, a marine animal park in Islamorada, Florida in 1997. The dolphins are Shiloh and Thunder and the cat is Arthur.

Cute, I adore dolphins too. 🙂

Several years ago, whilst on a dive in the Red Sea, I had a juvenile Dolphin come within a few inches of me. Over a period of maybe 5-10 minutes we both hovered motionless at a depth of about 20 metres simply observing each other. I would have given anything at that time to know what was going on in the youngsters mind and was he/she perhaps as excited by the experience as I was. Some distance away was a much larger Dolphin keeping a close watch on the encounter and I was informed later by a Marine Biologist that this other Dolphin could have been either a parent, an auntie, an uncle or or or. Apparently, being social animals they pass juveniles around the family to give the dear old parents (usually mother) a bit of a breather. Ha, just like humans eh? I was also told that the parents encourage this ‘investigative’ nature of their offspring which is part of their learning process. Anyway, for me this encounter was much too short and after a while, and with a slight nod of the nose, the juvenile rejoined the other Dolphin. I like to believe that the nod was a goodbye – see you again but then the human imagination knows no boundaries. 🙂 Thanks for posting this video Leslie.
