Seems like every year we get a new tent.  In 2010 we bought one-off eBay a Sierra Design.  Summer 2011 we decided we need more space and got a MSR Mutha Hubba. 

That was great and kept us dry in Alaska but not enough protection from the cold. Too much mesh.  This year we have a Big Agnes Gore Pass 3 Tent.  Which is no longer being made but they have models just like this one…

Ours is more copper colour.  Since being discontinued hard to find great pics and we have not camped in ours yet.  We like the side doors versus the end doors.  We found last summer that it would have been more convenient to have side entries so Leslie could sneak out easier since she wakes up way tooooooooo early in the morning.  So, we will see how this set up works in July.

We also got better sleeping bags.  Big Anges Roxy Ann for females and yes ladies sleeping in a bag for gals is way more comfortable if you have hips.  We LOVE them!

So, as we get deeper into this obsession of ours, we are trying to get better gear all around.  So, we will test out this set up in the HEAT of Idaho in July and see if our bags can keep us cool too.  I will document this 15 day trip of ours.  Seems so short compared to the 44 day we did last summer.  Next summer after my job settles down we will eventually be able to take longer trips once again.  Just growing pains for now.  More about the gear we use later….
